Campaign signs made great patterns. It's almost time to help some of the losing candidates clean up the neighborhood.:D:D

Bud light case boxes work well for small patterns, and they're free...Well, kinda free!

  4. Never thought of that, I've thrown away tons of that, Damnit

  5. Any of the paper supply houses will have it. Look in the phone book. I don't know the names on the west coast but in the southeast we have Mac Papers, Xpedex and Unisource. They all have walk in stores that you don't need an account to buy from.

Every Christmas I save all the department store clothes boxes we get shirts, sweaters, etc. in. Cut the short sides off, and you have a decent sized piece for small patterns.

I also just started using poster board (like the kind your kid uses for school projects). Stores easy, readily available at the 24-hour grocery stores.

Cereal boxes too. Any cardboard box that food comes in.

It's not big, but it IS free.

You guys are missing the best source of cardboard, beer cases! and you have the fun of emptying the contents of the case! watering your trees. Of course you already know it makes you smarter a much better looking!!! I personally enjoy the medicinal effects of mass consumption or beer!

The local XPEDEX store gives me all I want. It is used to separate pallets of paper. Any large printer or paper supplier should have it

  10. This is easy. Look up a local upholstery supply company. I think it comes in 3' by 4' sheets and is cheap.

I use paper that I buy from HomeDepot; which is called builders paper. It is heavier than masking paper, but not as heavy as poster board. I use it for layout and for sheet metal panel patterns. It comes in a roll that is 35"x140' long for about $10.

I get mine free from the local animal feed store. They use it between the bags of feed for live stock. :)
