    I agree.......Flake is bad ass. I am going to flake the roof of my wagon green. Has anyone every used flake paint for pinstriping ? I would like to get that done but I question if it could be done decently.

    base is usually flat black.you get the color from the flake.some people say to spray the base the color of the flake but it is really hard to see what you are doing.the flake is just mixed in with clear.i put 4 coats of flake then one more with the crushed glass to give it the pop and look of big flake.then three or four coats of clear overtop.

    Heres my truck dash so far. (I was going to Just paint the trucks moniquer(sp), on the dash in opaque paint, but after seeing this thread it's gonna be candy!)

  17. The sharp edge on the spokes look like ET wheels they are still available with either polished or natural centers.

    great pictures ,but just wondering has anyone used glitter instead of paint store flake, would it work ? I have used flake but not tried the cheap dime store glitter yet, whatta ya think,
