I'm not 'sledging' you, but do a search back through previous HAMB threads, as this was mentioned a while back, and I'm sure there is a HAMBer who's Shop has them at a good price.....just a suggestion. Cheers, Drewfus
I've got several different ones. ebay baby, ebay. some people collect stamps? I like steering wheels and hubcaps.
Rocco and Cheater's Birmingham, Alabama!!!! Use an on-line yellow page to get information and call him...Pinstriper's got ORIGINAL flake wheels from the '60s, baby!!! I got a limegold one and a raspberry colored one...just waiting for the right projects!!!
They don't seem to show up that often on ebay, but i've seen some good ones. I picked up this beautiful dark teal one a while back... it's transparent green with blue flake in it... amazing color. When I first got it, it was actually a brownish color... I was kinda disappointed in it. I realised it was grimy, so I took some polishing compound to it, and it really came alive... Anyhow, they're typically $30-75 on ebay when they show up.
Pasojohn, that is what I was thinking about doing to my stock Belair steering wheel, and say screw looking for one.38chevy4door, is that the name of the shop I need to look up? (Rocco and Cheaters)
Here's mine- stock wheel wrapped in Zodiac vinyl (but not laced up yet in the pic) This is the pic I show every time this post comes around. I haven't done a how-to post in a while, hmmm...
Yes, the shop is Rocco and Cheater's, located in Birmingham, Alabama...they were an east coast supplier in the '50s/'60s and when the gas crisis dried things up, they just kept their stuff...Pinstriper, who owns it now, is the son/nephew of the brothers who originally had it...it's a time capsule of SPEED!!!
