Ok that was the before picks...years of wife and kids and dog and Sunday Funday rides packed full of friends.

UntilI I win the lottery, i am just gonna cover the original interior with blankets tucked in tight.

  8. image.jpeg I'll play. Used one to cover up the worn out back seat in the '35 Chevy. You can also see the rest of the low buck interior upgrades - cheap indoor/outdoor carpets, sheets of 1/16th inch ABS plastic as side panels and armrests out of a '61 Chevy, vinyl dyed black to match.

You cant call them "Mexican blankets". They are just blankets, and don't deserve such treatment. All blankets matter damnit!

With the PC bull s&!t to the side I have used these on several rides. Mexico is 12 miles from my house and blankets are like $8 each.

    Nice thread guys.

Bump. Does anyone have a recommendation for a source for this style fabric that will hold up to the demands of a car seat?

This would be great for my 59 Rancho

I'd have to go in and make sure that they still stock it but Kraff's clothing here in Toppenish, WA https://www.kraffs.com/ sells unbrushed Pendleton blanket material by the yard that the owner (Dan) had some made into seat covers for his truck. I'll try to check later today if I get my have to do stuff done in time. It's wool and holds up pretty good.

I stopped at Kraff's today and they had two different designs of unbrushed Pendleton Blanket material but it is pretty spendy. He didn't give me a price but the Plain material next to it was 45 a yard. Not the 20 buck a blanket stuff for sure.
We Kraffs yy.jpg Kraffs zz.jpg Kraffs.jpg buried my mother wrapped in a Pendleton Blanket in the casket last month as that is a tribal tradition.

  17. Sorry for your loss @Mr48chev . Nice that you could honor the tradition with the Pendleton blanket. I've always admired the traditional Native American patterns they produce. I don't know the inner workings of the relationships, but it appears as though they have always had a close association with our indigenous people. They have a store on the company mill grounds in Washougal, Washington, and I embarrass myself with my drooling every time we go there.

I've got no Mexican blanket Pics to add. We run a huge gold velvet like curtain as a seat covet in our wagon.
I just wanted to give my condolences to you @Mr48chev in regards to the passing of your brother. I'm sorry for your loss.

I could not find a blanket but did find a flannel sheet. Here's my Mexican sheet! 8-8-23-1.jpg
