Not sure if this got answered but it is fluctuating between 10.5 and 11 pesos per dollar right now. (divide by 10 for rough estimate is the general rule when shopping in Mexico)

sled, specifically any '55-61 cars. Especially any high-end converts, letter cars, Hemi cars, crossrams, etc. And double-especially any '57-58 DeSotos. :D

Wow. So much for getting anything done at work this afternoon.

Thanks for sharing all the photos, Sled. You've found some amazing stuff! Chasing this tin around must be an absolute blast.

Your thread was more entertaining than a Donkey Show.

for the muscle car fans,a rare Olds 442 1970 cab,in good overall conds....

i guess is a W-25,cause is lackin the special hood and some parts of the most wanted W-30....

but still a good monster car,and fully running....

has been repainted once, the same gold metallic color as the original one...

BTW,can be for sale...NOT my lines...

This is the coolest thread ive ever seen!

  12. Depends on condition. $30-40K for a nice one. $7-8K for rough but complete. $15-20 for good condition.

markX....mmmm,not keen to sell my 35/36 stuff right now....

in case if something else comes up i might think to sell, but these are my favorite lines....

    well,can sell the 5w stuff...NOT the 3w....

still i know lots of them around, but it will come 1 day there will be none left....so,better keep something for my retirement....

  15. 62 or 63? There is a big difference in the value. 62s are worth more. The 63 and 64 styling is not considered as attractive so the value is lower. Very few 63s were built so they are more valuable than the 64s. Not bad cars at all if you don't mind the bulky styling.

Sled were are you at in Mexico City? I have relatives( Primos de mi esposa) in EL DF. I also have inlaws in Veracruz. I have talked with family from Veracruz alot of times about some of the cool old cars that are laying around there. I plan to get down there some day buy something and drive it back.

ok,here a Ford 56 sunliner in solid conds that i've bought months ago...

actually i found a good number of 56 Sunliners around...this is fairly solid, put new brakes and water pump and drove it around for awhile

i'm not a convertible fan,for kustom reasons prefer to have a roofline for the overall style...

so,it has been sold to a Ford collector wich is restoring it....
