Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by sled, May 17, 2007.

  1. Sled, I'd love a woodie - what else is out there for woodies? Any prices?

    Steve

  2. It's not unusual to find a woody in a bush.

  3. Could you please define this term? Is this good or bad?

Sled: I go to Mexicali to visit my girlfriend, she lives there. Her friend is moving to Mexico City soon, and we plan on visiting her. If I ever make it down there I'll hit you up for info on the area.

    analphabetism = illiteracy

I think he may have meant something else although this is true as well as the wealth being un-evenly distributed.
There are "Haves" and Have-nots" but far more "Have-nots" and the "Haves" have quite alot. I should write presidential speeches:rolleyes:

  6. Dang T442! I looked it up in my Webster's 9th Collegiate. Never encountered it before. I thought I'd hear every word that starts with "anal-"

The prefix "an" means back, upward or again. Here it seems to mean "without".
    Similar to "anaerobic": without oxygen"

Yes, by all means you should be writing speeches or doing poetry slams.:D

Heres a few of the pics I snapped while I was there last weekend. Unfortunately I wasn't able to take pics of all te cool stuff due to being in moving vehicle alot of the time. I know these aren't exactly the finds that some of the Mexico City cars are, but I was only there for a couple days.

ooooooo wheeeeeeeee! you've got to be kidding me! 47 caddy convertible series 62 and 39 - 41 zephyr 3 window coupes are my top two dream cars. WOW! if you ever sell either or both...or find more.... i'd come don there to get them. Also since you mentioned old bikes.... i'm a sucker for late twenties indians ...early thirtes too. indian fours and scouts especially. I have a few nice custom cars to trade if that strikes your fancy.

Hey sled, pm me sometime, I'd be happy to re-size your images so they can be uploaded here.

  26. Sled,

Host your photos on PhotoBucket. That way you don't spend time resizing, you just link it to the Hamb.

Folks, I have re-sized some pics for sled, and have attached them below. He has sent me a bunch more, which I am working on also. I'll post the pics, and sled has sent me some text to describe the pics. Anyway, heres the first of them:

"met recently a car guy wich i met once a year ago from a closeby town,he owns a restaurant...

he invite me for lunch and after the coffe also showed me some of his cars...

i was really surprized to find out that he owns this kustom lincoln 47 continental cab...

this thing is sectioned all the way 4 inches...seems to have been pancaked hood too. engine is a mid 50's Lincoln, runs strong..

as you see the bench seat has been lowered a lot. looks like the winshield is stock height. just to be sure we measured with another stock 47 linc and yep, 4 inches cut....

you can see some weldings on the doors, still there. but i wonder who did the job???mexicans don't know much about kustoms..

and sectioning is another story....my guess car can be imported from US..

he has no idea,he found the car in town abandonded, and bought it....still unrestored. someone has ever seen this car in US?? actually is really weird to use such a car to be kustomized...

    any help greatly appreciated...."
