Chickeridge, readin your post again....Yes,i did make a profit on the sale and the car went to a guy that is able to fix it,of course!!...Yes,car is gone,so no way to get it back in some years...luckily i do know more of those but you're correct, they're gettin scarce every day more...

On the other end you have no idea how much valuable stuff went to scrap for peanuts simply for local ignorance and wantin to get what??150/200 bucks scrap metal instant cash...many Hemis went this way...heavyweight,lack of parts, thirsty as hell = Perfect scrap candidate!!
I wont start tellin you all these sad happening all the time stories, makes me really sick....so,sometimes i get frustrated about this, cause i can't do more what im doing now according to my limited resources...it's a lost war im afraid!! Sled

Well, somethin for muscle car fans...67 GTO,4 speed...yep..a real 242 one!Weird story on this one cause the actual owner is a low budget guy,no way he could have bought such car in the past...probably owner was a gringo that left it there after the holidays or a messy party time, who knows??
Original drivetrain ,interior and such...luckily the area is very dry and desert ,like AZ so no rust ...Grill comes with the car.. Sled

Well, more muscle stuff....here a 69 Camaro used in local drag racing ...looks like it's a real Z28 car but i have to find out when there...owner used to have a BB Chevy engine on it but as you see he put this thing on a side....he said that it will be for sale...many of these cars they end up flipped over and destroyed according to the infos i have...the just race on bracket classes with no rules...so strange things happen....this looks still quite solid an wirth it to save....Sled

Well, somethin sad here...an old yard in a desert area with probably 500 or more cars sittin since long....unfortunately all of em are in very poor conds, mostly heavily damaged ...luckily the area is very dry ,so they are not rottin at all.The newest plates are from 1975/76...Too bad really, even wih the greatest intentions there is not much that can be saved ...yeah,parts for sure at list!!
    Im really too late here....Sled

Gotra66,hard to answer on prices..there are no rules here! For example the A stuff Ford is very expensive for sentimental reasons...way overpriced!50's cars are quite ok and cheap most of the times...muscle cars, depends who got em!!Also if the owner needs fast cash, you offer too...i mean, each case is different...good deals can be made for sure anyway...is all relative!! Sled, I'm not sure where I can post it. A few days ago I was banned for life for posting it and I had to crawl on my hands and knees to be able to post again. lol. The truth is they were very accomodating after I explained that I really didnt mean to abuse any H.A.M.B guidlines. That said, since there are so many here that would enjoy reading about my newest endevor regarding La Carrera Panamericana and what my good friends Hershel McGriff and Bob Bondurant did for me how can I post it without violating the rules? Can I post my blog address where you can read all about my personal envolvment and the latest news and whats available?

Sled, I like your attitude: While you are still young & strong, SAVE as much of the old stuff as possibe, right? I did it when I was young. NOW, the '30s through even the '70s stuff is all gone, cruched or rusted away. Salute!

hi Gfaules, you have to understand that this is a public friendly forum and when i saw you your last identical post in many mexican panamericana related threads it looked like you were promoting your last dvd and such..way too much on the commercial side so i tought myself the moderators would ban your ads right away, which happened...no worries,we do love panamericana stories here..simply use the right friendly way...why dont you talk or PM Ryan himself and ask directly...he-ll be friendly to tell ya how to move ...
My 2 cents are ..just open a new thread about and attach your blog link for all to see....without promoting your stuff here, cause this is NOT the section ...there is a miscellaneous section for sale dedicated for this purpose..go there and put it on,easy...
if you feel to ,just add your link here to this thread,i would love to see the latest news about those heroes...im sure many would love to see it too...
keep it easy and have a great one, cheers Sled

Jimishemi291,glad you like the shit around here and luckily there is still lot of junk to be saved...gee,i have to admit there is less and less every day but i still discover new areas where to dig some shit out...i reckon that will be interesting to see behind all this stories in 10 years or so...so much stuff get destroyed all the time ,kinda sad vibe sometimes....but lets keep the dream up for now....cheers Sled

Sled I actually got to see and tour/hear a running, unrestored LaSalle hearse liekt eh one you show here. Somebody on here apprently thought it was a custom or something. Yeah, they REALLY came that way. NICE woodwork, and the Caddy V-8 purred!

Sled, just curious, what state of Mexico are you living & searching in? Is it NORTHerly? I had a friend/co-worker from a little north of Mexico City, but I imagine stuff around such a metropolis would have been pretty picked-over by now.
