These are fresh from Jalisco province...a pal o mine told me about a stash of old cars sitting from a family member ,nothin for sale...he's not an expert so we manage to get the key and have me checkin out the stuff..here's an overall wiew... The Ford coupe has original faded paint on it,very solid overall..to bad that the owners will do nothin with such stuff...one of those things...
Yep,it really is...the Ford coupe is very very solid and complete, just neglected...and i knew from my pal that this family will do nothin on these cars since the father died and they are many sons ..as usual they wont go well togheter and is everybody's or nobody stuff..
Updating time fellas ...recently i spoke with a pal o mine about new finds and such..and this procar came up..he was'nt sure if was a Poncho or a Buick and he told me he never saw something that loooong..so this is what i got... Never seen another one myself honestly talking... Buick 61 combination lowtop ,coachbuilt by Flexible ...not really appealing but unique for sure...procar guys please chime in if you want with more detailed infos....
My guess would be Buick.. Here's some info on The Flxible Company... http://www.prewarbuick.com/features/the_flxible_company_and_buick http://www.coachbuilt.com/bui/f/flxible/flxible.htm Regards
Been out early today hunting a 60 El camino for a pal o mine.Got in touch with the Camino owner and saw it ...realized that was a piece of junk put togheter,so no deal...not even good for parts cause too expensive.. Close by we stopped at his grandfather's place and discovered the old fella had some really cool Model A stuff..i liked more the cool truck with all the fiesta stuff on ,ready for action...due to age he never moves anything,in storage for many years...made my day anyway!
Talking by El Caminos this is another one i found recently in DF area...owned by a guy wich tried for couple years to fix it but he just gave up and project stalled...there are many cars like this in unfinished stage in the workshops in town (Mexico City)...wont take much to complete this one anyway, and matter of fact a pal o mine wants to buy and get it done soon..wish i can get em this solid ,usually they are prone to rust a lot...
DAMN, You're killing me man,, Love hearing about your travels, Stay safe my friend, keep up the good searching.
Nova,i keep it safe,no worries...i would just love to go to certain hot places for car hunting but its just not safe currently.... makes no sense searching for too much adventure... In any case there is plenty to do ...more pics coming soon, stay tuned
Sled.. as always great pics.. great finds! If Cuba wasnt so hardcore I would love to live there... everything stuck in the 50's
Mmm,if i remember well i know one ot two of those Chevy picksups...problem is WHERE i saw it??? I stumble on some woodie wagons sometimes too..love em myself
Thanks ,glad you liked the show...Been to Cuba couple times and there is nothin like it,no doubt..but car wise lots of stuff but in terrible condition ,...no spares since 1959,so they do adapt any kind of russian stuff on them, even diesel engines..very creatively done but man oh man.. There also some good hidden away cars for sure..they dont want the government to know about it,they might get confiscated...strange place to live, lack of freedom at its best unfortunately
Ok,something funny and ususual today...a 60 Datsun Ute style car pickup... its the very first one i saw anywhere i dont have any infos with it..very solid one,all original and very ususual...very good reliable engines,a working mule we can say...cute looking,is'nt ?? No idea who imported or how it came down here in Mexico...
Today's finds...some hard working leads paid off suddently..waitin to see more next week but a cool hunting day....hey Novadude, you got your wanted woodie here...
