Mich. & Ohio Hambers...relay help needed....

I just picked up a four speed tranny for a project. It is near Akron, Ohio and needs to get as close to Port Huron, MI as possible. The other option is as close to Traverse City, MI as possible. Not sure of all the details just yet, but I have a name and address of the guy in Canal Fulton, OH. where it needs to be picked up.

If any one thinks they can help out I will gladly pay some gas/beer money for your troubles. Also, a multiple hand-off deal works as well for me. Thanks all.

Anybody that can get it close to Toledo. I'll fetch it and get it somewhere else. Frankenmuth at least if Billy the Kid can store it for a minute.

I would appreciate the help Dan, if we can work it out. If I can get this thing anywhere north of Detroit, that helps a lot.

Canal Fulton is close to me (like within 15 minutes from where I'm sitting typing this) but I don't know of anyone heading to Michigan until the Detroit Autorama. If you don't get it by then let me know and we'll load her up. Too bad you didn't buy it a month ago, I could have brought it to the calendar stuffing party : (
I plan on heading over to Medina (in the north central part of the state) this weekend if anyone over that direction can help let me know and I'll bring it over.
If there is anything else I can do, let me know.
If my travel plans would happen to change I'll let you know.

 

I'm headin' down to Columbus this saturday. I can get it back to Danimal in Blissfield or anybody around Ann Arbor area. PM me if you want me to run part of the relay.

I will be heading down to Autorama and could get it to Traverse City if someone could get it to Autorama.

 

I am about an hour north of Detroit and 45 mins West of Port Huron right off of 69. If someone can get it to here I can bring it to you in Port Huron if you want. I dont mind storing it for you if thats needed for a bit. If you need any help just PM me. Good luck......

where are you? Caro? I've got a buddy that works at GM and lives in Dryden. He's got an S10 pickup. I'm SURE I can con him into hauling it from Detroit to Dryden if you can grab it from there.

OK, H-Bob, if you can get it to Hippie, and Hippie can get it to me, I'll get him a free haircut in town from Harms Way's buddy, and then take it to GM and on to Dryden. I'm probably going to fetch a 302 from DirtyT when he gets back into town so I'll be running parts then anyway...or I can just keep it here and throw it in with the rest of the stash until you're ready.

 

I'm in Imlay City, about spitting distance from Dryden. If it comes to Dryden I can meet up with your friend. H-Bob just let us know.

Danimal, do you work at GM? If so, which one? I think I met you at Denises calendar stuffin fest. I work at a R&D place that does powertrain work for GM.

So updated trek: H-Bob, if you can get it to Hippie, and Hippie can get it to Danimal, he'll get him a free haircut in town from Harms Way's buddy, and then take it to GM and on to Dryden to me. Either pick it up at my house or I can take a trip to Port Huron and visit the Roche....

Sounds like if chevygirlrox can pick it up and meet me at some point saturday evening I can get it back to the Blissfeild area. And then on from there.

I am also about 15 mins from Canal Fulton and i'm going to the Detroit Autorama but on Sunday. I could be the back-up plan if all else fails.

Sorry.....Bad news everyone.....

The relay is off for this weekend. I talked to the guy with my trans, and he is a trucker and will be out of town till monday evening. So Lets shoot for Autorama in March.

Thanks again to everyone who responded to my plea for help. I have PM'ed the parties directly invloved in this relay "that wasn't " (hippie6 and ChevyGirlRox) to give them the details.
