Hey Matt, Tell your Dad thanks again for coming over and welding that crossmember in the other day. He did a great job and I enjoyed visiting with him for the day. Merry Christmas!

If there is any way you can go you should. You will look at shaping metel differently afterwards. You will also have a strong desire to get a power hammer.

Here's more info on what will be going on

I'm not sure if I will be going....

This is pulled from the web site:

--January 7, 2006 (Saturday) Fay Butler Metalshaping and Welding. In his 2005 seminar, Fay discussed and demonstrated the principles of metal shaping using various hand tools and power equipment.

This year, he will include similar material, but expands upon the previous discussion to address the topic of welding in regards to sheetmetal and compound curves. He will talk about the differences between the many welding methods available to the craftsman along with the advantages and disadvantage of each.

Fay will also cover how to choose consumables and common problems that are encountered during welding. It will be a day packed full of information, demonstrations, and other stuff related to metal shaping and welding. Bring your notebook, questions, and even parts that you might be having problems with. This is a golden opportunity to participate with Fay, as he does not often put seminars on away from his shop for the public.

Seats are limited, so please register early. If you would like to learn more about Fay Butler, he was recently profiled in Hemmings Cl***ic Car issue #15, December 2005, pages 78-81. His website is http://www.faybutler.com/. The seminar runs from 9:00am-5:00pm and is $85 including lunch and snacks. -Download the information sheet with registration form (PDF format).
