I hear that in Michigan for newly constructed vehicles you must have a frt and rear bumper , more proof we're being legislated out of existence.....

I've worked with more than a few Michigan Legislators on the SEMA model legislation,... To no avail. I am going to put some pressure on a representative in the next term to try to run the legislation again ( that is a friend,... If they win a second term) .... I'll try to keep you advised.

It's a shame because A. There's no way to test if the bumper does any good
    B. The minimum height requirements are way higher than our cars
    C. Did I mention they look like shit on some cars ??
    C1. They look like shit..!
I think it was New Jersey a few years ago that wouldn't register a tube frame , pro street Vega without crash testing ( to see if it was safe , wink , wink)

  5. Instead of "I hear", this is the actual requirement from form TR-54
"Bumpers (required on passenger vehicles, 14 to 22 inches above the ground except 4-wheel drive)"

    A) Actually there is a way to test, be happy they don't require that.
B)Minimum height on the bumper is 14 inches. How low is your car?
    C) The car yours is based on had them in stock form. You took them off. Nowhere in the rule does it say the bumper can not be removeable.
    D)See "C"

I'm surprised you're not more excited about the exhaust requirements than the bumpers.
