    Hi I have this mickey thompson magnesium rear carrier part no.ap219. To suit 55-64 Chevrolet. I was thinking of selling it and was wondering what the value of the carrier would be thanks

    If it was for an Olds or 8 3/4" Mopar it would probably bring $800-1000 as those units were popular in the front engine dragster era and many of those cars are still being found and restored. The Chevy version is less in demand though so that my lessen its value unless you can find someone who specifically needs one..

  3. My son has an early 123" front engine dragster he is working on. it has a 1957 Chevy rear end in it. let me know if you come up with a price for the M/T carrier, as it would be nice to have in his dragster. nick.

    Seems to me the last one I saw on E-Bay was a BIN for $1200.00 (yeah sure you betcha, like you've never perused or purchased from E-Bay). I am Butch/56sedandelivery.

    They were OK back in the day running on abanded air strips and rock hard tires, but now-a -days with tire compounds, concrete, VHT, one stands the chance of blowing the rear caps off the housing. Most all new mag and alu housings use thru bolts for the caps
     
  6. Asking $1200 isnt the same as selling for $1200 ;)
