Can any of you Oldsmobile owners share a picture of the mounting method for the pods that mount to the doors that extend the fender line? I moved 2 years ago, and am having a hell of a time finding some missing parts, particularly the mounting hardware for said pods. I know I have them somewhere, but can't for the life of me remember what they look like. HELP!!

They will be the same design as 40's Chev also.

They bolt around the upper perimeter while along the bottom they have two brackets that are each two pieces with three sides and a slot that slide within each other to be adjustable for depth to get the distance correct so they fit within the front fender when the door is open. The Chevy, which I have experience only with, has two outward bumps on the door sheet metal where the brackets go. I will look in the AM for an extra bracket I know I have if nobody sends a pic along first.

I was expecting to find a illustration in the Olds parts book but nothing of that. I can look at the 46 Chevy tomorrow also. The woody picture is pontiac but would think it's a similar setup.

If I can't find mine, I'm hoping someone here has a parts car with a set they would be willing to sell.

Look a lot different from the chevy parts, good to know you have some.
