allriiiiiiiight!

i'd like to be the first to get my reservation in for a non-smoking room with one king size bed, walk-out level. actually, i can bring a sleeping bag and crash on someone's garage floor. a shower would be nice, though.

3. I'll be at the second annual Hunnert Car Pileup!

4. I realize that even in October some guys aren't going to be able to make it on a certain date. What does later October look like for people? I really have no plans for that month EXCEPT for the World Series, but of course there isn't a date for it. I can live if I miss a game or two, Oh yeah, I can watch it at the shop! What about the weekend of the 17th? Mr Exotica, atch, ModernBeat????
Monkey the shop is rett to go. I have 220 ran especially for a welder but I haven't used that circuit. I had it ran when I moved in the shop.
Prettyman, pull your head out, we want your input here on the HAMB! Just because you work fucked up hours, doesn't mean you have an excuse not to communicate. The internet works 24 hours a day!!!!!!!!!!

This is going to be kick ass!

Sounds like we are cruising for the weekend of 10-12.

Of course this won't jive with everyone and for that we are truly sorry, hate to miss a chance to meet a HAMBer. But, whatever weekend it is, someone is going to miss it.

So we have a tentative date, a victim, and a shop.

Most tools we will need can be had by local car guys.

Do we want to track down a plasma cutter or are cutting wheels the prefered method?

Now we need to figure who, how many, and where are they all gonna sleep?

We have two extra rooms and a couch or two.

Prettyman has the same. It will be nice enough for camping for those who dare.

We'll figure it out.

Now, what we could use from those who have done this before is a list of everything that will be needed.

10. Okay, now we're set. If we can come across a plasma cutter that would be a time saver. I have all of basics: sawzall, cut off wheels, hacksaws, jigsaws, lincoln 110v welder, chopsaw, etc. There's a welding shop across the street from me, so we'll have plenty access to tubing, metal, etc.
The photochop pic is proportioned just right. I will be working on dimensions for the cuts in the mean time. If anyone has input for this, I'd be glad to have it.
Are we going to have a fund raiser for parts during the chop? This particular chop will not cost much at all, but I'm sure there are costs I'm not thinking of right now.

12. Wow. last time I hit this thread it was just an Idea. I'm in as a spectator/helper. Never chopped anything bigger than 1/25th. But would love to learn.

I guess it would be preparation for eventually taking a couple inches out of my S2D A pillars.
REV-I PM'd you back.

Rev,

Where the hell you been hiding?

Dinner, tomorrow night, or you'll be sleeping with the fishes.

FLT-BLK,

Bring it on bro, and bring Outlaw with ya.

Rev wants a re-match!!! [IMG]

15. IF, that weekend is free(KCSP?) AND IF, my boss will donate his plasma, IF there is 220 Volt, count me in. May I suggest Prettyboy remove the paint prior? Sure makes shit weld better! I can bring some of our Scotchbrite wheels to prep the metal before the cut.

KCSP will most likely be the last weekend of october...

19. Things are flowing now!
Tman, I do have 220 so we're rett to go there. I'll talk to the boys about pre chop preparations.
Rashy! I haven't fallen off the face of the Earth just yet. I have baseball this summer and it takes up a whole lotta my time. I'm having a blast though. We should be able to hang out for dinner next Sunday, someone call me to let me know where.
Flt-Blk I got another trike I'll try to have finished for the Mid-Am. It's a little bigger, so our drunk asses won't hurt ourselves horsing around. I've already been jumping curbs and other shit with it. OUTLAW BEWARE!!!!!! [IMG]

Let's keep this post fresh so we can get confirmations on who will be attending. That way we can find places for them to crash.

20. If it is that close to KCSP I cant make it. Only so much time away from the shop. Sorry.

Gotta admit, I'm with Tman. I had to pass on the first one, not gonna miss the second if I get another invite and I won't have much money and time left over after Bonneville.

We will have plenty of places to crash.

We were even kicking around the idea of scoring a block of rooms at the hotel across the street from the shop so we can work, party and crash.

Otherwise we will be breaking up and driving eight diferent directions all the time.

Just need to gather funds to pay for the rooms if we go that way.

The plan is to get this done with no real out of pocket expense for attendees.

Also,

There is no way we will be able to settle on a weekend that will suit all and we understand that.

We will not feel slighted in any way if someone is unable to attend. On the flip side, we also don't mean to exclude anyone.

It's just the way the ball rolls.

Killer, is there any chance at you being here?

I have a free plane ticket or three. Maybe I can somehow transfer it?

24. Rashy, that's a great idea about the hotel by the shop. Can you check on that this week? Let me know something. We can find out how much a block o rooms will cost and then figger how much to raise per person.
As this thing gets closer we'll start a rollcall for definites. I believe the chop is close to 110 days away.

25. Ah, don't worry about me. I don't really have anything to offer except for my good looks.

Hey Guys,

kount the Stray kat and the gang in on the chop. As long as it is not on the 24th & 25th of October I'll be there. If you all approve, I'll work on the artwork for the Mid-am HAMB chop, sorry they will be used kool shop shirts like the freebies at the SK 500. I'll give them away to the kats that show up to work. Sorry it took so long to jump on board, when you are homeless and lost in dullsville, it dosen't take long to get left behind.

Let me know what sizes you all need.

Happy Trails,

Mick

stray,
one xl, please. i saw curtis' (37express) shirt from the 500 the other day. VERY cool. made me wish again that i wouldn't have had to work that weekend. i would have been there if duty hadn't forbid it.

rash,
i'll spring for a room if that's what everyone wants to do. being close sounds like a good plan to me. or monkey's generous offer of a room/floor/garage works just fine, too. for the most part i'm a go along with the crowd kind of guy when it comes to stuff like that.

Rev, I'll see what I can do.

Atch, If we can't raise the money, you are welcome to stay at my place, hell, you're welcome to stay at my place either way. I have room for a few people, two spare rooms a couch and some floor space. I just think there will be more "bonding" time if we aren't spread out all over Tulsa. We literally live every different direction from the shop.

StrayKat, HELL YA on the shirts! That would be sweet! Then FTF could get one, I've seen him eyeballing mine.

Rev, What are the names of those hotels? You know, the ones across 41st. I think they are extended stay type places.

Let me know.

MrExotica, Sometimes good looks are all you need!

30. I'll pony up for one room of hotel headquarters if it makes it more convenient.

OK really I like the little bottles of shampoo, makes me feel like a giant.
