I'll try to put together an image for a shirt and put it on my zazzle store page, so if anyone that was there wants one they are available... I kinda want one now too :)

Finally here are some of my pictures!

Our first stop was at the McPherson College Auto Restoration Program

Here's some of the crew hanging out with a historic old rod, who's history escapes me right now (I'm getting old and forgetful).

And some of the machining equipment that the school uses to make parts that are no longer available and to teach the students how to use the equipment of course.

A couple of the projects currently in the school's program, mostly they focus on restoration, but this Merc was too custom to go that route so it will be finished as a nice period correct custom. A previous owner had installed a SBC drivetrain so there will be a 327 going in.

McPherson College's program teaches restoration on all sorts of rides, dating all the way back to the horseless carriage days.

Pierce Arrow anyone? Cast aluminum body panels are so cool, this car is friggin HUGE.

And then there is one of the coolest things that the school does at car shows and the like, imagine assembling this vehicle in less than 15 minutes and starting it!

  11. Now thats a hell of idea. Or how about "Cover your HAMB-Gasserlouie is in town"

So then we checked out the school's woodshop

The school has just started a motorcycle restoration course, so I figured I'd post this up for you all to see.

And a nice shot of the group, say cheese everyone!

The body shop had a couple of cars in it

I didn't take too many outside shots of the cars, it was too cold for my pansy butt. 20deg and a 30mph wind!

    One of my car though

Next up was a leg that lead us out west a few miles over the dam at Kanopolis Lake and back to Salina, KS on old U.S. 40 to Calvin Customs Shop.

Once we got to Calvin Customs in Salina we checked out some projects they are working on, and the rat that has been a bit of a show piece for his shop. While it is not H.A.M.B. friendly in finish, I would be glad to have it in my garage when it comes to build quality, and all out fun.

Then it was off to my home away from home the Paramount Bar for some chili and hotdogs and drinks....and some storytelling!

And finally off to the Stiefel Theatre to watch the 2010 KKOA Leadsled Spectacular DVD by Vintage Torque.

Well folks thats about it for my pics of the day. I was too busy having a good time with family and friends to snap enough pics, so I hope that you've enjoyed what ones I could get.

Swap Meet Cindy Here! Poverty, if you want the true story about Gasser Louie, you need to interview the sheep from Nebraska, not the pigs from Kansas.
