the baby momma tore into my *** the other night about not spending enough time with her. I suggested she come out and help me put the motor back in my car , but that was a no-go!

[/ QUOTE ] Im glad to see Im not the only one with that problem my wife helped me tape off a flame job once I thought it was romantic she thought it was just something she had to do to get me in the house so she could get mad at me for not caring about s**** books and quilts

    LMAO!!! [IMG]

yes FatHack, we will have some ROOT beer just for you [IMG]...

ok, the work that needs to be done...

i have a 56 Chevy that needs the body taken off the frame and mounted on the rotisery. to do this someone will have to fab mounts to go from the body to the rotisery arms (should'nt be anything too tough).

on the 47, it needs to be nosed and decked, remove the visor, spot light and fog lights (then i can post em on Ebay and have money for primer). there are 3 or 4 holes that will need patched (ie welded in), then slicked over and readied for primer. if anyone knows anything about frontends the one on the 47 needs a good long look at. there is something going on up there that is'nt quite right, it's all over the road.

there may be some wetsanding needing done on the Bug and i will be working on painting it.

we prolly ought to pull the engine out of Donzie's 50 so he can bring it back home with him. maybe we can pull the grill and front bumper out too.

if we are real ambitious there are about 40 thousand spot welds that need drilled out in the floor of the 56 so i can replace the floor with the new CARS inc floor pans i've had layin around forever. before those come out some temporary braces need to be welded in cause the doors open and close perfect right now and i'd like to keep it that way. there is some bondo sandin to be done on one fender and there is still some primer on the car that needs stripped down to bare metal (roof and left side quarter and door).

back to the 47, the vent windows and vent window mechanisms need replaced (got the new ones), same with the left half of the windshield. i also got an old skool afternarket turn signal control for it that needs instaled if anyone knows anythign about electrical (it NEVER had signals from the factory).

and if that is not enough i know i can find more to do, and if you don't want to work on the cars then i have two dogs that seem to think they need CONSTANT attention (and not in the sick animal love kinda way some of you freaks are in to. [IMG]). and i'm sure the yard will need mowed again by then [IMG].....

what to bring.... if you do body work and have your own favorite tools then bring them. i think i have most everything covered but if someone brought a good cordless drill (or even and eletric one for that matter) that could come in handy on the floor pans. if anyone has a hook up on sand paper i'll prolly need some 80 grit sticky back for the DA and some non-sticky 40 and 80 grit for the airboard.

i hope i'm not forgetting anything. see ya'll this weekend...

i suppose directions would help.... well, pull out a map and get yourself from wherever you are to I-69 heading towards CHARLOTTE (just south west of Lansing). get off at exit 60 which is M-50 (there are three Charlotte exits so get the right one), head EAST (you'll p*** Meijer just off the E-way), it's ROUGHLY 3 or 4 miles, you will first P*** Flanders road then the next cross street is Stewart. there is a big gravel pit to the left just before Stewart and you want to TURN RIGHT (or SOUTH) on Stewart (the only street sign for Stewart is on the left side though so watch for it and if you run into a stop sign on Stewart before the road ends TURN AROUND). once your on Stewart heading SOUTH go about 2 miles till it ENDS. it ends at a dirt road called MILLS HWY, turn right, mine is the third driveway from the corner on the left (i can see the corner from my house), 3408 Mills hwy, look for the FLAMED mailbox.

it is easier than i prolly made it sound but everyone seems to p*** Stewart or go the wrong way on it so i've tried to over explain the details so hopefully nobody gets lost. if so, call the house 517-541-2053.

Kris, I'm thinking about going to Mt Pleasent for a car show on Sat at the Soaring Eagle. If I do go I'll call the house on Sat evening to see if your home yet. If you are I'll stop and maybe spend the nite if theres room. I have to go to a graduation party on Sunday in Kzoo and I can just head there from your place then. If your not, don't worry about it. We'll catch up in a few days. I'm so excited to see all the loot [IMG]

it's all still a go. hell, if anyone wants to come out tommarow (friday) i'll be here all day, just call if your worried i won't be. saturday ALL day (get here early) and sunday except for the couple hours in the morning when i have to pick up the boss but i'll leave a list of things to do till i get back [IMG]. monday i have the whole day off too so come one come all. i get so much more done when i have other people doing it [IMG] i could seriously use the help, i've been swamped lately and a little progress would do my ambition wonders.

    so whos in FOR SURE??

I’m trying to avoid that, hopefully if that happens it’s because I broke it at the drags, and need to get home, otherwise there could be shrinkage. [IMG]

from our place to Burch Run (north of Flint) it's about an hour and a half doing "reasonable" speeds on the E-way, so if you know how long that trip takes you from your place add an hour and a half to it. i usually find it takes much less time to get somewhere than what MAPQUEST says it will. but then, i'm about 2 points away from loosing my license too [IMG]...

you and i are going to get along just fine Mike O [IMG] unfortunately this project is'nt getting flamed (thats rare for me). i've got some black to spray and some HOK limetime pearl. basicly we painted it once but ran out of black so there are some thin spots you can see primer. then, there were so many coats of paint on the hinges (i should have stripped them) than when we put the new paint on there it loosened a couple layers and it came off in chunks. i now have them stripped. then the big problem was that the clear we used (PPG) did'nt like th eHOK and came off the green in big sheets [IMG]. i have the fenders wet sanded with 400 and ready for paint, i'm workin on the rest of the body and i have more black and some different clear that SHOULD work. i still have enough green to redo the hinges, and then some. basicly if my "buddy" that was helpin me (i'm NOT a painter) had shown up on time and had'nt been in such a hurry most of this would'nt need redone, the worst thing would be we'd have to sand down and reclear the green. who knew the clear would flake on us?
