Sorry for the late intro, but a little about me. Late 50's, GM dealer parts man, since '70 Been a car and bike guy all my life. Started working on cars in '66, started riding bikes in '67. Back in the late 60's, helped friends build their cars, most notable a '55 Chevy wagon with a Rochester F.I., a '56 Ford with a Chrysler 383 set back 10 percent. Interesting story about getting stopped and the cops looking inside at the engine... And my first real put together, a '54 Chevy with the same 383, this time not set back. Been into restorations since the 80's, not any more. Restos are all right, but it is no longer a hobby as long as someone has a fat checkbook, kind of like the Harley riders. No one touches a wrench, just a pen. In fact, I parked my restored Pontiac as it lost it's draw to me, in the last two or three years it maybe got a hundred miles a year if lucky. I've devoted more time to the bikes, especially my '82 FLH hot rod. Not pretty, but it runs. A lot has been done, but not evident as not a lot of chrome and no neon lights. Any way, a couple of years ago I started getting interested in rodding my '55 Buick. I had a 401 and ST 400 lined up, but the car it was in was stolen. So, with this and a job change, everything was on hold, until this year. In fact, today, I just bought a '78 LeSabre that had a 455 installed in it in the mid 90's and parked a couple of years later. Going to re-frame the 55 and refresh the 455. Later plans are a/c and set up for trailer towing, that's a whole other story though. So, heading towards retirement, a couple of old friends and I, along with son in law and his friend are going to create another Frankenstein, at least it's all Buick.......... P.S.,the '82 FLH is getting repainted this year, and if it's lucky, the '02 FLHTPI (ex-cop bike) will actually get a wash job. I'm the ANTI-CLEAN as I'm known at the H-D dealer that I work at also on a part-time basis. Not bad for a old guy I guess.
