What ever happened to cars like this?[IMG]

There used to be a million of them. Tubbed mid year coupes running in the Gas and Modified Production classes at the drags. I always wanted to buy one and make it into a street car. They just disappeared. Did they get junked? I don't think so. Maybe wasting away in the corner of a garage is one I can buy. Anybody have any ideas on where to find an old racer? Frank

  2. Now THAT would be a wicked-cool street car. I always wanted a gasser to park beside my stocker. :) You're right about there being a million of them at one time (maybe they've all been "corrected" and sold on B-J :D). We had a NHRA record holder here in town for a while in the mid '70s but where it went I don't know. Time to start knocking on doors around here...

Best of luck with your search!
