Well after over a year and a half of building, I'm almost completed with the building portion of my car.. I'm going to start the wiring layout next week. Blow it apart, Paint it. Dark Navy Blue, With silver running gear. I'm hoping to be at the next ANRA event with the car. And will have to be sure to do a burn out, So I can let Joe Hamby know.. I'll try to get some pictures and get ??????? to post them for me. As I do not have the necessary equiptment to do it. (Called Brains) Then I gotta start s****ing up some necessary driving gear.. I lost my original thread to the great garbage can in the sky Evadently, Cause I can't find it ....
We should all scroll dow to the bottom of the main page, and set our display options to "the begining".
OK, Thingy invoked the magic enslavement chant of "ol' buddy, ol'pal" on me, so against my better judgement here're the latest pictures from Mosely's Speed Emporium.
Randy,, I already have , A few times, for break in.. I don't think Im going to blow it apart for paint untill after my peepers are repaired.. I'll run it just as it is for time being.. First outing will be the Eagle field event on the 10th of next month.. BTW.. The nose art is by my 11yr old Grandson.. He wanted to paint this on Grampa's car...
congrat's sir, appreciate the 'tired' perspective, but great to see the progress, and similarly the sense of 'finalisation' of a project, job well done. Cheers, Drewfus P.S. any chance of some photo's of that fiat sitting along side
Drewfus...Thats my altered..It's been sitting since we decided we didn't need #2 cylinder in the block anymore..I run a 354" Cleveland Ford on alky. Enderle injection. Etc.. Now that my HA/GR car is almost completed.. I can now start the build on the new block...The car weighs around 1400 lbs..And has ALL Ford running gear...Aptly known as "Midnight Madness"
Very nice! Everytime one of us "older guys" gets a car together, It makes me feel so good. Not as good as having a rootbeer float, but close.
Bob.. Is the place that sold Root Beer by the big rock, (down town Stillwater)just up from the river still there. God they had good root beer. I still have a mug from there...
Drewfus.. It has been in the 8's at almost 150.. But I keep it in the 9.60 index cl***. and at 142 mph..But I had a rod let loose in #2 cylinder and made a mess of things..Will be back out next year.. 351 Cleveland, C4 trans (good for 950hp) and 9" Ford, 4.33 gear ratio. 31X13X15 Good Year slicks. Thank you for your intrest...****
The car looks GREAT ****! Been busy with the Eagke Field event and haven't been on the board much. Rocky
Hey Thingy the nose art looks just like you the grand kid did a good job. Looking good it's a wonder that you can't see anything but you car looks *****in Your car will be a great addition to the ANRA Openwheel cl***. You know any NHRA legal car can run openwheel.
Car looks absolutely great. Couple of questions. What engine model is it? Where did you get that super neat radiator.
Hi Butch.. The engine is a 62 model Chev 194. I know, I just s****ed under the wire. But it was FREE for the taking.. As for the radiator,, I'm not sure where that came from.. It kinda just showed up one day, and it has been lying around the place for about 5 yrs.. So I used it. BTW. It is aluminum.. And it keeps the engine cool....
Well as of yesterday my car is ready for the trip to Eagle Field. Looks like most of he needed parts are doing their job..So I'm going to pack it in the trailer this coming week. And head up north.. Looks like OBFB (Aussie) will be coming along also..This is gonna be fun !!!!
Way to go, ****! It will be a great experience at Eagle Field. Make sure someone takes lots of pictures so us stay at homes can enjoy the event. That's one fine looking car you built. Congratulations.
Thanks Bob.. The get together isn't till Saturday.. But I'm so excited, I want to leave tomarrow for the 4 hr. drive there. hahahaha..
Ditto .... That last run was nice. Shouldn't take much more to get that thing tinkered into tune now. Good luck with your surgery, we'll miss you at Butch's. See ya first thing next year .......
During the next couple of months, I will be working on a new intake and header design..The other one got me by for time being, But if I want to keep up with these fast guys,(Lee and Old 6) I got to have something a little bit more elaberate. Actually, Something with more tune ability.....
Hi Mr Mosely! I am proud to say that you have been on the burnout list since Sept. 21, 2009. If you could wipe that smile off your face you might be able to see past it and see that list. Congratulation. Joe
