Looks really killer Pete. Sinister comes to mind. Looks like a WW-2 "Pillbox" machine gun nest !!

Great Looking build. That chop changes the entire attitude of the car. I like how you saved the wood.

So my Pal Joe had this Hopped up flathead for sale.....Bored 1/8th over, ports de burred and some other cool internal mods done. I was on the fence but we struck a deal and now its going the coupe for the race. Im stoked to finally have a "built" flathead, something that will scoot down the beech. Last years engine was running on 5 cylinders, it felt like a tractor....

Big thanks to Joe......appreciate the hook up. New_mill.JPG

This weekends going to be a big one, new motor going in, brakes will be done and test fit the new reupholstered seat.

A lot of us local guys only trust Colby Berohkian to do out interiors... He gets the style and the period were looking for, his work is excellent and he's an easy guy to deal with.

    Time for bed.....

After much wrestling and learning as I go about the technicalities of which flywheel fits what..... The Motor is in!

John Scholes spent all of his afternoon and night helping me.

We pulled the old 59a motor and thought we'd just drop the 8ba in... Wrong..... Side note, I'm literally sitting on my shop floor surrounded by what looks like a roadside bomb.... Absolute friggin mess!!

Turns out the flywheel I had accepted a 9 inch clutch.... But the holes were drilled slightly off thus not allowing all the pressure plate bolts to enter....we tried the 59a flywheel but it's slightly different, it rubs the block... No go.

A phone call was made to the flathead GURU Tommy Caruso.... We sifted thru his collection of flywheels, pressure plates and discs.. Came up with a complete 11" 8ba set up....

A huge thank you to Tommy and John for the help today..
