I'm in the St louis area. A definite place to go is Fast Eddies BonAir located in Alton Illinois. Great place to eat. Honestly for under ten bucks two people can get a meal.
For the best Philly steak sandwich I have ever had. Go to Florisant fish and chicken in Florisant Mo. Its right off of I-170 half mile off of I-270. Little hole in the wall but great food.
For a nice sitdown dinner in downtown St Louis, casual, Charlie Gieto's at 6th and Pine.

To keep this reasonably OT, and provide a visual treat for those of us who live in parts of
the U.S. where any building older than 30 years is doomed to the wrecking ball, get a grab shot of your car in front of said eatery. (Anything along the line of Poverty Flats previous thread @ those quaint old mom n pop digs is unique to us city types living a**** the "Golden Arches", if ya know what I mean....)
