History Midwest/Plains Drag racers, a ??

This car came from Omaha, with Iowa plates in the trunk from the mid 80's
I've found a few interesting things done to the car, helper coils /airbags behind the rear axle, spring spacers in the front coils, motor chained down, etc....

and this sticker / waterslide on the windshield......what is it ??? Does this thing have some drag racing in it's past ???

 

I remember racing a similar car about twenty years ago. But that one had a very cool set of side pipes on it. Must have been a different car.

 

Oh, you never know.....somehow cars change over time......

Could be somebody is one number away from being a little *****, but I was wondering if it might be a yearly track membership decal, or something like that........


Bob, are you in the market for some cheap, rusty, Rocket side pipes ??? Maybe we could rustle up a little HAMB relay or something...
