All - I'm finishing up the airbag setup on my MII front. I added a bumpstop and am adding shocks as a secondary safety feature. Is there a range for the angles the shock can have? Its mounted behind the a-arms, and seems to look best at about a 15 degree from vertical mount...but i haven't welded the mounts in place yet...

    Thanks in advance

Ideally, it should be pretty close to the same sweep that the suspension travels through.

Otherwise it'll have a side load on the shaft & seals and wont last as long.

In general a shock is most effective directly in line with the travel, so just make it as close to the arc of the lower A-arm as you can. 15 degrees off the line of travel is fine.
