This might be O/T, but any HAMBers watch Mike & Molly and see Mike buy Vince's '57 Bel Air sedan? $7800 for a car with a leaky gas tank, overheating radiator, slipping******* and bad brakes. Then he sells it back $7250. Good deal? I've never owned a Bel Air, but I'd update the brakes and radiator myself :p Got my car with a running 350 for $5k and wished I'd gotten it cheaper because I ended up replacing the engine anyway. Just felt like posting! Sorry if posts like this bother anyone!

Usually episodes like this are based on some reality or situation that one of the producers or writers had gone through. I was really hoping that the main character would hold on to the car and that it would get some attention through the remainder of the series in some form. At least Tim Allen, since he's executive producer for his new series, is getting to feature a '56 F-100 in his.

Saw it ! The price was a steal anyway...have you checked-out some real asking prices lately ? Some lock-in at $13,000 - $18,000 just for the 2dr., and, of course, the Hardtops are astronomical.

For a Bel Air Coupe the interior was clean, but the mirror on the dash was a "TV" do-over so that you could fully see the faces of the actors since most of the shots were "head on".

TV and movies screw up details big time on cars, trucks and airplanes.I used to get a kick catching mistakes but now it just pisses me off.

or when they show close ups and you know they are different cars, tire treads or 1 is an auto and the other is a stick ... some of it is too easy to spot ... lol

Early production 4dr hardtops had the dash mounted mirror.

I had to laugh last night when I was watching a Frasier rerun and Roz told Frazier her date drove a '73 Dodge Polaris. So which was it, a Dodge or a snowmobile?

No "V" on the hood emblem but they said it was a 283. Musta had an engine swap from a "6"............or maybe a hood swap.
