I have been around cars my whole life my dad (Doug) raced midgets with BMARA in the late 50's and early 60's. I am now trying to restore the car he owned back in the day, so far it's been a 20+ year project of gathering parts, but last year I finaly had enough parts (and after loosing my dad) decided it was time to get it on the ch***is jig. I am also restoring a 1959/1960 vintage midget. Before I aquired the midgets I started building a Pro Street 68 Camaro that I finished (well they are never really done are they) about 5 years ago. Being from Kenosha, it's only fitting that you should build something Rambler powered. Ol' Barney Navarro built and raced some Rambler 6's back in the day.
Just Finished uploading photos, of my Camaro and the 1946 vintage midget project, to my albums. Hope to add photos of the other midget project tomorrow. hope everyone enjoys them. Happy New Year, Mike
Welcome aboard Mike, This is a very interesting website with lots of interesting people to bounce ideas off of.
welcome to the board fellow wisconsonite! throwing it out there but i'm in kenosha often, girlfriends folks call it home... and its kind of like the motherland/ mecca for me, lol. (50th AMC anniversary show in 04... i dont think my jaw ever left the floor) but anyway, if you ever find yourself in need of a extra hand, or need some parts brought to you from plymouth area or madison area, even ocaisionally find myself in the chicago land area.. let me know... that goes for places in between as long as its on my way, and that goes for anyone else in wi for that matter... another newb Jake

Welcome aboard, Mike. I worked with your dad at the water utility, and his name still comes up in the lunch room on a regular basis. He was a great guy, and talked a lot about his racing days. He brought his racing s****book into work and some of the photos and clippings were great. Good luck finishing the midget. Rich
Thanks for the nice words Rich. I sure do miss my Dad especially when I'm working out in the garage. I have photos of the cars posted in albums with my profile. Just wish he could have saw his old car ***embled as far as I have it in the latest photos. Keep in touch. Mike
