alright, got a ?? for you brit bike fellas...I recently purchased my first bike, a 66' bsa 650 lightning...Now, ive had a little experience with carbs (old cars) but I cant get these old monoblocks right to save my life (left carb pours gas) the float seems fine, and on the bench i can seat the needle, blow in the fuel inlet and shes tight as a drum, get it back on the bike and she pukes everywhere, I suspect that stupid plastic needle...anyhow, I checked with brittish in the city (atlanta) and eric up there swears by concentrics but also carrys a mikuni kit for a little cheeper... so anyone running an a65 thats been through this little process already? Im goin to get one or the other tommorrow, im just antsy to get this thing poppin off...

  3. I'm using a single Mikuni on my 67' TR6. Starts first or second kick every time, and idles perfect.

Although alot of us share interest in cycles and cars, you may want to take a question like this to the Jockey Journal, as already mentioned

Yes go to Jockey Journal a great site. I switched to mikunis on my 67 lighting after similar problems many years ago and they worked good for me until I sold the bike a few years later.
