    Does anyone have ch***is pics of a 33-34 with this engine set back? I would like to see how the frames were modified to mount engine/trans.

    The engine is set back as far as it will go in my Fiat Topolino. Not much room for my feet.:):D [​IMG]

    Setback is cool

    I set my big block Olds as far back as it would go (around 4") in my 59 p/u.

    I don't want to cut the firewall. At this point, I can barely remove the distributor, & I had to cut the valve covers.

    Most of the engine is aft of the front axle, which was my goal. I also needed to drop it a few inches

    BTW, an Olds 455 is big

    25% engine set back was allowed in M/SP the magneto came out through the cowl. Same car as in avatar.

    image.jpg Here's a real vintage g***er with 327 set back a ways. If anyone has any information on this car I would sure like to here from them. Car is a 1928 Hupmobile currently running a hilborn injected 327 four speed and an olds reared.

    That's an altered or comp coupe...that engine looks to be set back 20-25%...a Gas coupe or sedan was limited to 10%.

    You and me both man. I have had this pick rolling around in my head for a very long time. beautiful can and interesting choice on exhaust routing. Definitely not the norm for the era.
