I have cropped a few of the photos I have of Jesse's 1941 Ford so that we can take an even better look at this Milestone Custom Car.

Actually only the first photo from the Bob Sorrell Collection shows the car when it was owned by Jesse Lopez. THis photo was taken around 1948-49 next to the Barris Compton Ave shop with Sam Barris parked behind him, and next to the shop we can see Johnny Zaro's 1941 Ford convertible.
To bad this photo of a photo is a bit blurry... hopefully one day we will be able to see a sharp scan of this image. But what a sight... and like jeff said... STANCE!

The rest of the photos show the car after Jesse sold it to Danny Lares. Danny had Barris extend the hood side trim.

Whats a CUSTOM with its hood up at a car show. It must be cause he is showing off his BAS ASS FLATHEAD. Some say a custom should never have its hood up. Well if the motor is as impressive as the rest of the car. I say open it up!!

  10. Man this is incredible! This was the first thread I read and followed, when I first joined the hamb and here it is again! A lot has happened since it first started. To mention one Palle has bought one of (if not the one) the most important custom cars ever built!

Turned out that car was not an 1950's custom at all...
You can read about it on another HAMB thread here.
