think i found a set of 4 - 1948 divco wheels, they are 18" split rim. can some one email a picture of the milk truck wheels they used on early bonneville cars? also think i read somewhere that the 18" wheels were from ford milk trucks not divco's. any info would be helpful. thanks

I don't have any pictures on my computer, but none of the "Divco" wheels popular for land speed cars that I have seen were split rim. You don't have a picture of the wheels your looking at do you? I'd like to see 'em.

They were actually a Kelsey Hayes accessory wheel that Ford sold. That's Bruce Donelan's roadster with a complete set that Nimrod has pictured.

  5. Bruces car is a treat, or should I say cars? The Divco wheels are VERY HEAVY, about twice as heavy as a regular 16in steelie and not of the split rim variety...[IMG]
