i have this welder i bought from a friend a few years ago never used it yet. went to use it today and couldnt figuer out how the torch plugs in. its a econo twin it does stick and tig the stick is pugged in now wich one do i plug in to? the plugs just dont pull out they just spin is there a trick to pulling them out? thanks billy
I used to own an Econo-Twin. The leads are basically an interference fit, I used to turn and (push or) pull to get mine out. What (part) exactly is just spinning on yours? Al in TN
Hellmet, I have a Miller Dynasty 200. to get the leads out you need to spin and line up the tang on the end of the lead with the grove in the outter (reciever?) then they will come right out. At least it is that way on my Dynasty. Hope this helps. Gordon
our miller welder at work when you tig the ground goes to + plug and the tig rig to the - plug and when you stick weld the ground goes to the- plug and the stinger to the + plug.if its like ours in order to unplug leads you turn them to the left and theres a knotch that lines up so you can pull it out.when you rehook be sure to rotate to right to lock in lead.it should tighten as you turn it.
Here are pictures I just took of my Miller Econo Tig. As said earlier, it pushes in and turns. Is the rubber part slipping and turning on the plug on yours?
the bottom one came out when i pulled it but the top one is just spinning. i tried to index it differnt ways no luck.
