HUH .. Hard to see but I had the same one in mine... SO-CAl speed shop...stopped making it in the early 60's.... I believe it was called "the hot rod eight" ....... ....... jersey Skip
Now here's why i was wondering, i watched Graffiti the other night and the scene where Milner and Carol are fighting over the radio got me to thinking.. where the hell is the radio?! also when he gives her the ticket and tells her to file it under"CS" she puts in a pouch on the dash, i don't see that anywhere in that pic either... "Rock-N-Roll has been going downhill since Buddy Holly died"
That car is a movie prop, they do things in movie making to make the movie work and create the effect they need , doesn't mean the props are real or stay the same way. Basically this means you can't always copy what you think you see in movies.
I have the same dash in my 32 5 window. And if you look closely, you can see the car was yellow at one time. SCARY!!!!

I have a late 50s era underdash radio mounted dead center under the dash of my 5W.
