I'm on the far left in this picture. Its a '68 Rupp C350. Bought the frame at a swap meet. It now has a 5hp Briggs with a Tilly carb, 3hp flywheel, muffler from a KX80. Also has a 2 speed jackshaft, with a disk brake from a mountain bike. Front forks are off some sort of small Suzuki, and the rears are old KYBs off of a small 250 Yamaha street bike. I should try to get some better pictures of it now that it is mostly finished. I just shortened the front forks a couple inches. Looks a lot more in proportion (for a minibike).

The bike in the middle is all homebuilt out of aluminum with a 5hp Kawasaki, and the one on the right is a Fox with a 5hp Briggs.

Poncho, your bike has inspired me. I just scored an old CCM mustang for free today.... I wonder if my neighbour will notice the motor missing from his snowblower?

I knew someone would post a link to something they find more off topic. So sorry I'm no able to find every last off topic post and close it to your liking. Like I said before, the occational mini-bike is no big deal. I just don't see the value in threads dedicated specifically to them.

It's just no-win with people here sometimes. Piss and moan about how the HAMB is rampant with off topic posts...so I start closing them and I'm a jerk. You really need 67 more posts about mini bikes on top of the 27 links to previous threads on a traditional hot rod and custom messageboard? *****in'.

No one's *****ing about you, the HAMB or anything else like that. I just don't find this too far off kilter (engines, old ****, youth, cheap...I could go on). Maybe it's just me. ****, one of my old, old threads asked if catfish made a noise when ya caught 'em (and plenty of weirdos responded within minutes). To me, the HAMB has been about like-minded hot rodders with different interests in life of a similar flavor.
You know I love ya...still waiting on that grill insert for a '34 International, though.

heres a mini bike that is taking me sooo long to get done. pretty much the whole thing is homemade, including the springer front end. its got a rupp spoked rear wheel, 5hp briggs engine with a pointless ignition i threw in. i just recently picked up a torque-converter for it so ill be able to pull hills a little better. and its got a hard to find peanut tank.

the tank was in rough shape when i got it. it had alot of dents and dings. i mangaged to bondo it up and smooth it out. now im lookin for a good piant scheme. any suggestions? dont mind the black circles. it just where i need a little more bondo.

Got the frame and suspension for 35$ at BTTF, then tossed in the Honda w/torque converter.

Thats exactly what I'm planning to do with this old bike I got. How did you get the sprocket to center perfectly? Just go by eye-sight and weld? Also how big is your engine? I have a 3hp Briggs, the gear ratio will be 1:6 and I'm running the same size tire as you.

I built this bike about 3 years ago and took it all over including bonneville, got it covered in salt and had a blast. i have not messed with in a while because i was building my car. But this weekend i happened to take it to hammer hanks house. Henry had a nicely bule painted tank that he had many of hours in metal work and paint in, and i had to have it. so here it is, And this is what happened to that nice tank. The throttle broke and i laid it down in the gravel and then into the ditch and it caught on fire! So i got really pissed and i did a fire burnout and i blew the tire. But i got and new impliment tire at the army surplus store kinda cool. Does good burnouts.

Anyone know how to jury rig a clutch on my briggs 5hp I have a sweet runnin engine but the crankshaft is too short for the clutch to mount. thew crank sitcking outta the block cover is only 1 1/4" long. Also anyone know how to rig internal throttle to hide it and be ables to use some sting-ray grips without cuttin em?

Not as cool as some of the others. I built this with the boy as his first project this summer.
