Are there any independent builders that could build a reduction-gear (mini) starter for a Studebaker V8?

I'd have to ask why you even think you need one. I think mini starters making a mess of things rank right behind the. My generator ****ped out on a road trip 500 miles from home, what do I do now" and the weekly "My Pertronix ****ped out on me, why?" posts the My mini starter ate my ring gear posts are right up there real close. Generators usually **** out because a guy takes a road trip with one that he didn't take the time to go though and freshen up. Pertronix failures usually are due to being cheap and not using exactly what they said to use. Mini starters, because a lot of them are poorly made and just flat don't fit well but you gotta have one to be one of the cool guys in some groups.
