I wanted to run a 17” high pitch fan. They don’t make them in 16”. The one in the pictures is a 15” high pitch. It clears the lower radiator hose by 1-1/4”. If I run the 17” it will only clear the lower hose by 1/4”. Seems too close to me. Rubber Ford side mounts and tail mount on the ******. What is the recommended minimum fan clearance on a hose? A ‘32 core is 16-1/2” wide. Searched and didn’t find any answers. Thanks!

over 1" is plenty, 1/4" is not enough. You're in a tough spot. Use the smaller fan, and make a shroud, if it's not enough air movement.

Thanks, Jim, confirmed my thoughts. That's my current plan. Even talked to the distributor of the high pitch fans and he said the 15" high pitch will move more air than the 16" normal pitch fan.
