Been going on 20 plus years , meet alot of guys we only see at the 50's each year, crusin the streets at night is a blast
Yeah- BTT50's, the state fair of car shows... what a great STREET ROD show... Personally I love dodging strollers and trying to avoid lines of people waiting to shove more food down their face. So many cars... that could be cool.
Remember when there was a Friday night cruise? My first was the day I returned from my honeymoon. Got home grabbed the car and went cruisin. I live less than a mile from the Fairgrounds. My son has been foreman of the crew that cuts the grass for the last few summers. No place better in this world to have a car show. I'll be there with my 36. I have been going for years. I camp out on the fairgrounds and stay for the duration.
We'll be there. Still waiting for confirmation but have accomodations booked. Unfortunately won't have the coupe on the road, will be driving our RED 64 Malibu HT (not HAMB friendly but a good runner). Try to make it every couple of years. About a 10-12 hour drive from here. Early Friday morning is the best time to be there while most folks are still at work. Lotsa cars but few people. That lasts for a few hours. Saturday is crowded. Very crowded. But the fairgrounds is a great place for the show. I'll be there, haven't missed it for the last 14 years or so.
2009 will mark my 23rd or 24th consecutive year in attending it. I must be getting old and jaded as I dont even look at the cars much anymore. It's all about old friends,cold beer and girl watching.
The one event I've always wanted to attend. A couple of friends and I used to go when NSRA had events there and I agree it's the best place there is to have a show. BTT50's is definitely on the schedule before the big dirt nap. Frank
we go every year. Wear out our feet, get sunburned, etc. Like the Mecum auction. Our plan is to debut the 42 Willys coupe at BTT50's. Working on it furiously.
Friday morn is the best not alot of spectators so you can drive through the fair grounds and see everything cause the next two days its a parking lot
Been to it once and to the Nats once when it was still there. The fairgrounds are the perfect location. There's a bunch of northern WI guys there every year for the party.
I grew up 6 blocks from the fair grounds, and btt50's is by fer the greatest thing to happen in st Paul!!! I love it and I can't flippin wait for this year as all my cars will be there, and I'll have the new T coupe to roll in!!!!!!
been there since i was 6 months old (granted that was only 19 years ago) but i'll finally be able to bring a vehicle of my own this year, got the model A going and able to have some fun with it!
bachelor party at btt50's!?!!?! THATS AWESOME! im jealous and im coming with. of course im going to be at btt50's.. hopefully i'll be there the whole time and not just one day!

or how about skating at saints north, was that thurday night? i cant remember, but i do remember going with my dad there and checking out all the cars the night before the start of the show, i really miss that. i also like to go hang out at registration thursday, its fun to see all the new cars that your havnt seen before, or people rolling in from out of town, thats also fun. Im 27, and i think ive gone 27 years, ill have to ask my dad but im pretty sure jeff
I think I'm at about that point too. You see a lot of the same cars every year. Once in a while something different grabs your attention. It's still a gas
