Here I been, posting away like a savage, and skipping protocol altogether! I neglected to post an intro! I apologize for the oversight.
I find myself on the hamb out of necessity. I need to learn, and was referred to this sight as an invaluable resource for the info I need. I'm the owner of a model a sedan project, currently under the hands of "abomber", here on the forums. I know Andy on account of him being wedded to my late brother's girl some years ago. As you likely already know, he builds some real nice cars, and this project would be lost without him. I figured the best start would be to get a good solid chassis under my car, so that's what he's doing. Can't ask for a better start than that.
I've built and rebuilt motorcyces most of my life, and still love 'em very much. I've always loved cars, too, but over the years space has been a constant issue (as many of you can testify to!) so bikes have been an easier outlet. They just don't take up too much space at all. And you can even roll 'em into the living room during those long boring winters! I finally grew up and bought a house last year. At any rate, I have a garage of my own, for the first time in my life. So here I go. On to four wheels! I've already made contact with some truly good people here at the hamb forums. Friendly folk, and generous with a helping hand, and patient with my lack of experience. I'm glad to be here. I intend to play by the rules as best I can muster; please let me know if I conduct myself otherwise. It'd never be out of lack of respect: Merely ignorance. I look forward to hangin' around!

  2. Welcome, and be sure to post some pics of you stuff. I know there are those who disagree, But I would love to see some of your bikes too.
    Good luck,
    -Fng Nate

I'd be happy to do that pin-up honey anytime! Brian and Tara are in Burnsville now, and B is makin' machines like a madman! Really something to see! I'll definately check out the art night, too. Damn...so many cats from Minnesota...I had no idea what a strong rod scene there was up here! I was worried I'd find myself out in the cold, but this project gets more fun every day...

Thanks****us, will do!! May take a couple days to call ya, as I smashed another cell phone this week. Gotta get another new one. Long story, but it involves the usual: loud metal; too much gin; and a hammer. You all know the drill.

Damn, some of you Minnesota boys are from WAY the hell up north! Wow! I'm gonna have to plan on throwing the tent in the sedan this summer and rollin' on up that way! Reckon we could get some of these Twin City cats into a road trip?

I'm in Robbinsdale (touches Minneapolis to the west) but my car/truck club stretches from Rogers to just about the Iowa border, and that's just the MN chapter. I'm used to road trips, so I'm down, it just won't be in the 61 until I get a summer of wrenching into it, would be in the Sonoma. I was just down in Rochester today but had to scoot**** before the snow got bad.

a roadtrip sounds good to me. hope to have one of my cars going (done) by summer. also trying to get the old mans going by then also. we should take a cruise up to the north shore and do a photo shoot at the lighthouse and such,

    just my thoughts, anyways.

And Greaser: that sounds cool to me! It's a great drive up there, especially the long way around! If all goes well up here, I should have the sedan rolling by summer. We'll have to address this topic here again once things warm up!
