Love your '40 Mark. Glad I've seen it in person!
The red '57 looks so right in those Cragars.

With the title, I was expecting small, yellow dump trucks.

Thanks for the real cars. Nice photos.

Great cars, pics and location. Nice that you can preserve such places. Never happens in the larger cities, tear it down and increase the tax base.....

Every Thursday? It’s a haul from the north metro but it looks like it would be worth the drive…

The drive in is just down the street from the old Tonka factory.

  15. That’s pretty cool Mark. It’s slim Pickens for cruise nights down here in TX. I’m from Des Moines and in the summer there’s almost a different cruise spot every night of the week.

  19. I'm jealous. All the drive-ins around here long gone. They were so much fun....

So, what exactly is a "haul"??
Around my neighborhood, out here in flyover country, we'd think nothing of having to drive 50 or 60 miles or more one way to get to an evening event like that.
You city boys sure have it rough.... !! :D
Yep, it would be worth the drive. Then you could post pics and give @Moriarity the night off!

Only one mile from my place.... can’t make it next Thursday though as it is my moms 82nd birthday, but if anyone here wants to attend the next week and come over after and see my crappy car collection just let me know

I try and get to the Henderson Mn Roll In car show a couple times a month. 2 hour drive to get to it.
It's just gas and it's a long winter.

It’s not so much the distance, it’s running the gauntlet through or around Minneapolis in rush hour traffic. I get stressed out just doing it in my daily driver…

It's been over 10 years since I went to that. It was impossible to find a parking spot when I was there. I think you have to get there early.

Stogy, Minnetonka is a very large lake. The tonka toy factory was right across the street from the lake. I think that's why they called it Tonka toys.
This place is a drive-in restaurant.
