A0CC1FFE-B5A3-45DA-A9C7-AA60CE40C0E0.jpeg I’m thinking of reversing the door locks on my Packard Custom (with pantograph hinges) so that I have more room for the gl*** run channel.
So if you think of a trunk, the lock mech is on the body and the striker on the trunklid. Remote cable operated internal release.
But on the outside a release incorporating the mirror stalk makes sense. Basically a push bike brake lever disguised as a mirror stalk.
    Who’s done it??

I think this is what you are after. Search for Sectioned 1950 Chevy PU build by the user Noah*. Pretty awesome build.

FC82099C-94B5-44CE-9E03-691B7861BEBC.png That’s pretty damn good. Thanks for that.
I went on eBay after posting and found a new pair of long arm Stainless bicycle brake arms.
I’ll get them and have a play. Being stainless I can tig weld a base to suit.
My mirrors will be on the A pillar not the door. So it will work even better having the door locks on the body rather than in the door.
