I set a mirror on the center of my dash. I like the look and it is mounted high enough to see traffic in the rear. I drilled a hole in the front side of the driver side stanchion, not on the outside edge. A 3" round mirror was mounted for left side visibility. I used a chrome acorn nut on the front side of the stanchion. It eliminates any blind spot to my left. My head works the right side. It all works great for me. Personnally, I do not like the look of glue-on mirrors on glass.

I have the same problem and am looking at the ones used on the prewar british sportscars, they have a unique look, kinda like they were made by Brown & Sharpe Tool Works.

IMG_0607.JPG Used a sporty car mirror with a convex mirror and painted it to match. Got this one at a Cobra accessory store in Florida. Also kind of matches the ersatz E&J lights!
