    Hi,
I know this is a long shot and somewhat trivial, but my black ****ies Odd Rods club jacket went missing in Pomona on Friday. I suspect it disappeared while we were unloading our white Chevy Tahoe in building 4 of the Fairplex. But there is a slight chance it fell out of the Chevy near So Cal Speed shop that late afternoon or possibly later at Walden's. Regardless, it went missing on Friday.
Since all of our club members are from Nor Cal, the only time these jackets are seen "walking around" So Cal are during major events such as LARS or the GNRS or an occasional lakes meet. So if you see this jacket waking around in So Cal in the next few weeks... there's a good chance it's not on one of our members.
People are losing cars and trailers, so this ranks low on the importance list. I understand. But it just doesn't feel right that it's gone. If anyone knows anything, I'd appreciate a PM. I don't have a photo of the jacket, but here's a photo of our logo on a plaque.
    Thanks!
    Marc

I am convinced that people would steal human body parts if they thought they could get away with it.

Man, I hope some good soul finds that jacket and turns in over to you,
I think if a HAMB brother found it, they would do the right thing and contact you or your club, if they don't they're no brother of mine.:(

Did you contactSO-Cal, Walden's as well as the LA Roadster club? Just maybe some kind soul found it and turned it in to them.

It may end up for sale in someone's space at the next pomona meet. Is your name embroidered on the front?

    Sorry to hear that man,
Jacket, car, trailer, or whatever.....still ****s....and there are more and more creeps popping up from behind the toilet every day....SAD...
Hope you get it back soon...
    Cheers.............

  7. Sorry to hear about that Marc. I'm not anywhere near where your jacket might be, but I hope you get it back!
Also, seems kinda risky that someone would be walking around wearing it. Most clubs/chapters know who their members are... So hopefully it's just 'misplaced'

Pretty sure there actually are people out there doing that... and making a killing on the black market.

Back in the '60s when I was running a c/gas, b/gas chevy, if you won enough bracket races Lions would give you an embroidered jacket. Good thing a buddy was watching our tow car when a spectator tried to lift it. It was a damn fine beat down and I still have the jacket. Never understood why anyone would take something not theirs or earned. Hope you get it back, good luck.

Hey Everyone. Thanks for your support on this! I really appreciate it. The reason I posted it here is I know there's a solidarity a****st members... a great group by what I can tell.
I contacted Bobby already and several people at the Fairplex including Roadster club members.
I haven't gotten through to So Cal Speed yet. I'll try them tomorrow.
I can't imagine someone who's really integrated in our community walking around with it. But maybe some non car person just found it on the ground or something (although I don't know how given the cir***stances) and thought they'd keep it... maybe not even knowing how or where to turn it in.
Anyway just hearing your support helps calm the frustration. Thanks again.

    FOUND AND RETURNED !
Hey, I just thought I'd update and close this out. "Nelson" from the So Cal area said he found my club jacket on the street and noticed the phone number inside (glad I put that there). He mailed it to me and it has arrived in good shape. Thanks to Nelson, and all of you for the good vibes!

Restores ones faith in humanity. Might only be a jacket but it was your jacket, Nelson is a stand up guy who ever he is in my books.

Cool *** H.A.MB.ers rule again, I am so thrilled to hear this. Had a jacket lifted out of my 57 Chevy a few years ago, it turned out to be one of the club members who thought I wasn't active enough at the time in the club, wtf. The club now has about three members, big f'n woop. ~sololobo~
