This last year has been a crazy one. Been to busy just doing life and haven't hardly had any hot rod time. Darn near absent from the HAMB. :-( The next few weeks will be more of the same as we take our daughter to college this weekend to finish her senior year and the following weekend we take our son to college as well for his freshman year. That means no HAMB drags for me. :-( I've managed not to miss one up to this point. Heavy sigh. Gonna miss it and all you folks a LOT!!!! I will say family will always trump the car thing so I know I'm doing the right thing. Hopefully I'll be back next year with the Dragmaster ready to tear up the track. Take an extra whiff of the tire smoke and fumes for me... Kerry
Kerry, you of all people need not apologize for missing. Hell, you built a digger just because of the drags! And as a fellow Vagabond we are still happy to call you the Worlds Fastest Mennonite!!!!!!!
Although I will miss you and your family, you are doing the right thing. I have been waiting for word on your plans. This has been a rough year for our family, but we are doing well, and I still plan to make the drags, but it is a close call. Keep us all posted as you prepare for next year. I hope our paths cross soon. John
I'll miss you and the family. If you want you can register the coupe. I'll ride over and pick it up and run it for ya. LOL. For some reason the missus doesn't want me to ride to MOKAN this year but she hasn't had any bad feelings about me riding out to Kansas and driving your car. If it is any consolation I went broke this year going to Washington to watch the last granddaughter graduate from high school. Take care of the family man, the HAMB Drags will be there when you are done. Pretty cool when you think of it we watched your kids grow up on the track and now we can know they are moving on with their lives.
