Great time at yesterday’s RUSTOBERFEST! This is truly becoming a must attend event. I did run into a fellow HAMBer, who said he recognized my old ‘40 Coupe. Unfortunately, he just said hello, and kept on trucking.

For those planning to attend: I'm bringing fried chicken and biscuits with honey &*****er. I will probably be bringing paper plates, napkins and sporks (that should come with my chicken order) and a trash bag. On top of that.....my laptop, the member list, extra paper & pens, the stickers I ordered, and name tag stickers if some so choose to use.
 So if plan to come hang out bring a dish and your choice of beverage and we'll see ya there!!

    64 and all,

A sudden and unforeseen family obligation has just cropped up and I have to choose between my natural family and my hamb family. I think I have to choose the natural family so I won't be able to attend after all. I had so looked forward to being there and meeting some folks that I'm sure would have turned into friends. Please forgive me for telling everyone I'd be there and now I'm reneging. I hope that this isn't a one-shot deal and that I will have other opportunities to participate.

Weather isnt looking good for Saturday! Im not too far away and plan to go as long as its not pouring cats & dogs. Dont feel obligated to attend if you’re concerned about being out in the cold & rain; its completely understandable. If it doesn’t work out I’ll bring the stickers to the next event and hand them out. Stay safe & warm this weekend! I will post whether I go & if so when I head out.

Some of you have seen this thread. Obviously Clarence couldn't have made it to Lebanon even it my family obligation hadn't popped up. For those of you who go please enjoy and post pix.

After reviewing the earlier posts I confirmed it was between 10/11 or 10/25 and chosen for 10/25. This weekend may be a wash anyway unfortunately ☹️

With an almost 3 hr. Drive for us I’ve decided to call it and wait for an event with a better forecast. Good luck to those of you that go if the weather cooperates. Out of the 15 plus people I emailed about this, only one replied they would go. This probably would have been the best weekend for Fall color if sun was in the forecast.

You’re definitely right about the Fall colors! Im hoping the weather cooperates but I completely understand any folks that dont want to chance it. Hopefully we can make it happen in the Spring if not! Or heck, even a winter gathering to meet for lunch or something would still be fun!

@atch I hope your family deal is good, rather than not. Can you put me on the list? Buckner, MO

Its probably close enough to call it a wash, everyone agree? Like I mentioned earlier, we could do a winter meet up if anyone is interested, like breakfast or lunch if you’re up for it? We used to do it in Wisconsin so its not horribly inconvenient depending upon the weather. But looking at the radar right now at 9am Id say the odds are pretty good for a consistent rain. If anyone wants to meet, and just not bring their rides out, just to meet fellow HAMB’rs Im open! Any feedback is welcomed! Thanks for trying guys ☹️

Thanks for trying to put this together. We plan on being in Florida for the winter baring any unforeseen health gremlins.
The rain is supposed to clear out of the Hermann area & the other couple that was coming with us wants to get out of Hermann (Oktoberfest crowd) & go to New Haven for lunch & ice cream. Anyone in the area is welcome to join us.

Going to Hilltop? I won't make it today but maybe someday. We need to meet. I'm between Fulton and Columbia.

We are going to try a place in the downtown area called LANG-A-TANG CAFE & CATERING. Our friend is a teacher in New Haven & said they cater some of the school events.
Hilltop is great but bring cash. No credit cards.

Well, lunch in New Haven didn't go as planned. When we go to LANG-A-TANG CAFE & CATERING we found out they were only serving coffee becasuse they were moving to a new location off of Highway 100. Ended up eating Mexican at the Dos Bros a few doors down from Lang-a-Tang. Played tourists after eating and wandered into some of the small shops and the glass blowing place downtown. Weather radar showed no rain after 11 AM but as soon as I left my driveway, it started drizzing. Did that the whole rest of the afternoon until I got back to my driveway around 4 PM. Aside from a dirty car when I got home it turned out to be a pleasant afternoon. Sorry things didn't work out for Boswell Park.

We left home (heading to the family obligation I mentioned earlier) in the Model A but soon hit rain sprinkles We returned home and took a late model DD.

We have some trinkets around here that came from the glass blowing place in New Haven. Very cool shop.

Weather is everything with outdoor events. I’m all in on a winter get together since I just moved from the St. Louis area to Camdenton. Would like to meet area Rodders. My offer still stands on hosting a “Meet & Greet” in June or July next year. Just got my shop built two days ago and have plenty of room for parking.
