    "I had a 79 Versailles and it had 15's."

I guess I managed to put 6.95x14 tires on mine.

Yes Stan, they are actually made by Kelsey Hayes. Both Ford and Chrysler used the on larger Sedans. Some were 14” and some were 15”and usually around 6” wide.

This is totally not what you are asking for, but here's my old '33 with spindle mount fronts and Halibrand rears.

    14, 15?

Well, that's very interesting. I guess that I thought all those Granada cars were the same (we had a Monarch). And that Kelsey-Hays was still (or is) an independent manufacturer. Even I learn something new every day.

There are some on that auction site right now that say they are a 5x5 pattern. Maybe that’s a measuring mistake?????

It’s funny on a g***er I don’t mind the mixed matched wheels but on a hot rod I like the matching set. I picked up a set of Halibrand small kidney beans years ago hoping to find front runners. image.jpg image.jpg I have a set of the American rebel wheels 15x4 because I couldn’t find a set of Halibrands . They are very nice wheels but going back to 16 inch steeliest. I was lucky to find a set of 16 inch solids at the LA roadster show years ago but just dust collectors now.

I would use the 16” if I could find a 16”, narrow cheater slick. Guess I should look that up.

No - the 5 on 5" is correct - from a Lincoln and they are all 15x6. I had a set of 4 years ago - machined off the lips near the center, filled the cap mounting holes and smoothed the outer lips PLUS narrowed one pair down to about 4 1/2" wide. Can't find pics right now but will attach some if I do.

Ya know, the differing wheels for one another than the other are sometimes there because they have differing jobs to do. Well, maybe don't style-wise. But, then again, don't the tires have the same deal?

Here's a wheel to get tossed out. I found (made) it attractive. I sorta thought this was an attempt to have something different, as in customizing (and low-buck).

Here are my old Lincoln 15x6 smoothies, modified to look like Halibrands. One pair was left at 15x6, one narrowed to about 15x4.5. The centercap mount holes and raised lips were filled and machined off and the outer lips reshaped to look more authentic. Mounted Firestone tractor ribs and old grooved piecrust slicks LONG before Coker was repopping the ones everyone has now...
