1952-59 Ford MK VIII rear in 54 Sedan Deliery

I am thinking of installing 93-98 Mk.VIII Lincoln rear suspension in 54 Sedan delivery. Has anyone done this? If so any special modifications need to be done? Any info would be appreciated.

 

are you thinking about using the 4 bar set-up with it or cutting of the batt wings and putting on spring pads? im sure the 4 bars have been done. i just havnt seen it yet.

 

I was told that I could unbolt complete ***embly and make it fit. Since it is a sedan delivery,( Courier) I do not want to raise the floor in that area. You can get a decent complete car around my area for around $2000 to $2500. Thinking of using complete drive train. I know engine is big, but I think I can get it in there. Just wondering if anyone has use complete rear end since it is aluminum.

 

oh i was thinking of earlier years. your talking about the independent rear suspension. and a 4 cam 4.6 cobra engine.
