Sure, just don't throw all the sheet metal away and end up with a too chopped, too channelled carbon copy of everybody else with a 32 Ford shell. A slick full-fendered rod with that Hemi(copyright Chrysler/Fiat) would be a great project.
A little inspiration for you, but I gotta agree, the motor belongs with the coronet (I think my mullet just grew a little...)
O.K.....#1...the engine is staying with the numbers matching Coronet. #2...I have access to an engine just like it. #3...I am sorry if I misrepresented what I was thinking of doing. I am only thinking of putting a SIMILAR engine in the '31 coupe...not the Mr. Norm's engine. Please don't hate me for the confusion. Maybe I WAS messing with you a little bit...I'm a little naughty.
Looks like the hemi on the pallet has had a rattle can overhaul. As did the 440 that you can barely see setting behind it............
If you are going 80's-90's fruit loop car, then go for it. If you want to build something a bit more traditional (better and cooler), do any version of a small block hemi. A small block hemi won't be cheap, but will still be cheaper than any 426 version unless someone is giving it to you for free which is pretty unlikely.
You must be saying that because the exhaust manifolds are oversprayed. I am pretty sure they came from the factory that way. The owner is a LONG time MoPar muscle car restorer.
