I scored these old flyers last week and thought you guys might like to see them. These would be cool enough on their own, the HAMB Drags tie in is just icing on the cake. These are a little bit bigger than my scanner would accept so a small part of the bottoms are cropped off. Sunday July 14th 1968: Sunday May 4th 1969:
"Spectators who enter our contest will have a chance to ride with Maverick during one of his wheel standing runs! " How cool would that have been ? You'd sure never see a promotion anything like that today.
Kool stuff! I got to talk to ej potter this past summer. He is now living in mich. In a nursing home. He had balls beyond belief! He has a book out, quite the read. Muttley i would love to have a copy of that poster. I have a neat pic of him i would trade you for, that is autographed.
I found them on ebay. There was also one featuring***** Harrell but someone wanted it more than I did.
I wonder if you got them from my buddy. He showed them to me a couple of weeks ago. I think they were in his ebay pile of stuff to sell. I thought they were pretty neat since I been to the HAMB Drags. congrats
Probably so, its a good bet there arent too many of these still floating around out there. I've already thrown the package out so I cant check to see where they came from for sure.
