Features Model 40 picture thread 1933 / 1934

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by six pack to go, Jun 24, 2010.

  1. Yeah, I remember it was heavy. My Dad bought that at the Portland swap meet 15-20 years ago for is sedan....he paid a ton for it because they did not repop em yet and a nice plated one was 5k-up. He just figured he's have to run a painted one. Years later he found a pretty decent one so that one just hung in the shop :D

Get back to work on it! That is some good work you have done there, sure would like to see it finished! Keep us posted with pics, more and more we will be building coupes out of four door sedans.

Always love the 33/34 with a Custom twist... they look very good that way.
I wish some more of these would be done up a Custom way these days, just like they were done back in the 1940's.

I came across these photos on the AHRF site...

33-34 Ford 5-window coupe with a chopped top, 1936 Chevy grille, DeSoto bumpers and a set in license plate. The ripple disk hubcaps look to be a rare aftermarket item made in the 1930's...

Here is another one I found on the AHRF site that had a Custom Car feel about it.
Solid hood sides and a great shape on the un-chopped top.
