Features Model 40 picture thread 1933 / 1934

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by six pack to go, Jun 24, 2010.

  1. I'm still trying to find photos of Al Sheib's flamed '34 tub. I know it was originally built in the '50s and rebuilt in the early '70s, then appearing in some magazines. Slightly OT, but still "in the theme of" the HAMB.

Here is my old one. The car was finished by Stokers and now lives in Denver I believe. I want another one with no QC.

I ended up tossing the phaeton together, glad I did as it made the perfect bonneville ride since I didn't bring the race car this year

thanks guys, pretty basic car, I kinda built it so anyone could drive it, didn't want a flathead/ early trans in this one since every time I loan someone a car like that it comes back with issues. so it's got a 60 283, power pack heads, 3 97's, Mallory dual point, a boring turbo 350 and a 57 9 inch on the stock 34 spring and some old chrome ladder bars. front end is all old chrome junk as well, axle, wishbones, 40 brakes. it's a simple car that works well, still not real sure if ill keep it for the long haul or just bomb it around for awhile and off it. it's a really fun car to drive around with 5 or 6 people hanging out of it.

  21. the Roy Creel 34 Coupe holds lots of records at B-ville & El Mirage with Roy's vintage 4 banger engines, Sam Buck the driver.
I lettered this for Roy a few years back.

I always liked Guy Ruchonnet's '34 Ford Coupe and John T's Wanted Man '33 Chevy.

And my '34 Plymouth PF Coupe.

There you go - a Ford, Chevy and Plymouth. (all with HEMIs)
