Rear window opening is 5". I don't have a stock one to measure, but I am thinking 3-3 !/2 chop.

Really look forward to opening the shed door each morning. Putting pennies aside for some real tires.
As stated earlier, ya never get tired of this model.

I know that most people think Hot Rod when 1933 / 1934 Fords are mentioned. But I always think Custom Car... And I think that these cars make very nice early style Custom Cars.
Pat Ganahl has an excellent story in the new issue of TRJ 51 about this 1934 Roadster... such a fantastic Custom...

    Coupe with 1935 rear fenders...

    A more Coachbuilt approach...

Coupe with channeled body... the bumper looks a bit bent though

A Victoria chopped and dropped by the Barris brothers... work in progress.

And this Cabriolet was posted on the hamb by rrbrucea in a differnt before...

We need to see more of these 1933 and 1934 Ford done up as Custom Cars!

Here are a few more old photos of 33-34 Ford done in a style that I would like to see done more today as well...

These are more of a mix between Street Rod and Custom Car

Some more Custom Cars based on the 1933-1934 Fords...

The Goldbrick 1933 Ford Cabriolet in 1958...

And a very bad quality photo of Roadster with its running boards removed.

And another Cabriolet with a chopped windshield and padded top.
This one is more a crossover between Hot Rod and Custom, but the smooth hood sides, longer headlight buckets, padded top, and what looks like near same wheel size on all four corners make it feel a bit more Custom to me... I like it.

    Rik,
These are great photos, I agree it would be good to see someone try that sort of approach to 33/34 today. As mentioned the one with the 35 fenders is superb. If someone described it to you , you would say no but when you see it just looks so well proportioned and so right.
    Thanks.

    Ok two things.....

Kevin when I seen your old '34 turn onto Congress -23 years ago while I was turning to go the opposite direction in my "T" I knew at that moment my love for '33-'34's. It was a turning point for me that I realized how rad those cars can be. Love this one.....

Second, Bubba67 I think your coupe is so damn dialed in as far as stance and engine it's not funny. I pretty much look at this car to how I'd like my own to look when I am done. It's got an early 50's drags/drylakes look which I think is a period of cars I'd like to see more of. The cream wheels do it for me along with that ride high stance. Perfection. I don't supposed you'd trade for my '33 3w which is much like yours just disassembled hahah!!!
