what are "these coupe roof filler panels" that you are refering to? I would be interested in a filler panel for the 30 31 a's

  5. I believe Waldons out of Cal. makes the best roof panels out there, 425.00 to 450.00, they look real and he ships quick.

It has just occured to me that some time back a guy did a coupe roof infill where he ran the rear T bar section right over the top of the roof upto the header panel.

Does anybody know the link for this thread.
Sorry to have to ask, but my computer runs so slow it is painful doing search stuff most days especially if there are lots of pic's attached.

These are from Howells sheetmetal, $195 ribbed for your pleasure and $170 for that sleek smooth fit. Fits 28-31 coupe.

I see the Howells one is a lot cheaper.....why??? I'm wondering if it doesn't fit as well, or if the Walden one is overpriced.

  13. roof section from a 64 Cadillac has the perfect curve and fit to the roof line.

early 70's Maverick roof works great also, buddy put one on his 29 Ford Coupe.

  15. If you go with the Howells plan on waiting. That dude is slow, order it from his egay site and you'll get it quicker.

My brother used a roof from a 67 Chevelle fordor, turned backwards, to fill his 28 Coupe.

There is plenty of options out there for you. If you want to go with a new popped peice then waldens is the way to go. If price is your concern, then a trip to your local junk yard (to cut the roof out of something) will be the best bet. What I would do is make a template of the curve(both ways) on your coupe, then make a template of the roof on your coupe. Take them to the junk yard. Use the curve template's to find one that fits the best (Minivan worked out great for me). Then take out the other template and cut out. It cost me a wopping 25 bucks and fit perfect.

Now you are talking, I really like that idea.

  22. It's the curved that have to match the contuor or it just don't look right and if you don't have the right tools it could turn into a night mare real fast, chose wisely, I've heard it all, I know Rolf used a volvo wagon roof.
Like the others have said, you have options.

  23. It used to be pretty common knowledge that the roof contours of a 65/66 mustang was a perfect match contour wise for a model A coupe.--Old news now, though---its as hard to find a 65/66 Mustang as it is to find a model A coupe!!!

Couldn't it be made with an english wheel?

  28. Yeah, how'd that work for ya?

Folks, I'd like to see some more pictures, sorry about the Hijack, but, dang, everybody has an opinion of what looks good.

  29. Checked into Walden for a model A sedan project. $1800.00 for a filler panel? Thought it was a misprint or i'm smoking the wrong stuff.
